Valve GDC Presentations
I know, I know.. it’s not animation, but I ran across these last night and thought a few would find them at least somewhat interesting. The Portal one is pretty great with respect to bringing together a minimal story and minimal design with a simple gameplay and coming out with a fantastic game.
The TF2 one is pretty good if you’re interested in the design of iconic characters (or really deep into realtime rendering magic math). If you’re an artist I recommend just checkin out the video from last year “illustrative rendering in TF2” because it’s a lot of the same info with almost 0 math and that’s why we went to art school in the first place isn’t it?
